The Sheriff's Office School Resource Officer Unit handles criminal complaints, conducts follow up investigations and enforces
traffic laws within and around the school communities. School Resource Officers also attend numerous school functions such
as PTO meetings and sporting activities. Deputies provide classroom instruction on substance abuse, law related education
and participate in community related work groups for youth issues, such as truancy.
The School Resource Officer Unit works closely with the Littleton Public School District, Cherry Creek School District, as
well as schools in Byers and the town of Deer Trail.
