The Special Investigations Section is a multi-facet assignment with numerous law enforcement responsibilities. These responsibilities
include the investigation of intelligence related issues, such as child pornography, sexual offender tracking and registration,
internet crimes, escape from custody, youth gang activities, tagging/graffiti, hate crime, organized vice related crimes,
"Rave" issues, along with maintaining and utilization of electronic surveillance equipment. Other law enforcement investigations
include licensing of liquor establishments, pawnshop activity, concealed weapons background checks and assisting the United
States Secret Service and other agencies with executive protection details
