The Sheriff’s Office participates in several task forces within Arapahoe County as well as state and national task forces.
The South Metro Drug Task Force was formed in 1989 as multi-jurisdictional response to combat drug problems within the 18th Judicial District.
The Front Range Task Force and the High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area Task Force are also task forces developed to fight and attempt to control drug problems and drug trafficking at a regional level.
The Joint Terrorism Task Force was developed at the national level in an attempt to fight and apprehend those responsible for terrorist’s attacks on the
United States and to avert any possible attack on the United States.
The Colorado Regional Computer Forensics Lab is a task force designed to conduct forensic investigations, support and training in computer related investigations for
federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies located within the State of Colorado.
