Sgt. Frank Agos recently was assigned to Internal Affairs as a Deputy Inspector and brings a wealth of experience to the Unit. Sgt. Agos started his career with the Sheriff’s Office in 1986 and since that time he has taken numerous assignments. Beginning his career as a Deputy Sheriff in Detentions, he worked in Booking and the housing units and was a Detention Training Officer and Arrest Control Instructor. Sgt. Agos later worked in the Alternative Sentencing Program where inmates are court ordered to complete their sentences on weekends or allowed to keep their jobs returning to the Detention Facility after their workday is complete.

In 1997, he was transferred to Patrol where he worked for approximately six years. In 2003, he was assigned to the Investigations Services Unit and became an Investigator Training Officer. In 2008, Deputy Agos was promoted to the rank of Sergeant and reassigned to the Detentions Services Bureau.

In March 2010, Sgt. Agos was reassigned to the Internal Affairs Section where he is in charge of the Concealed Handgun Permit Section, assists in internal investigations and takes citizen complaints. Sgt. Agos’ experience and talents have already proven to be an asset to Internal Affairs.
