Sgt. Frank Agos recently was assigned to Internal Affairs as a Deputy Inspector and brings a wealth of experience to our Unit.
Sgt. Agos started his career with the Sheriff’s Office in 1986 and since that time he has taken numerous assignments. Beginning
his career as a Deputy Sheriff in Detention, he worked in Booking and the housing units and was a Detention Training Officer
and Arrest Control Instructor. Sgt. Agos later worked in the Alternative Sentencing Program or ASP. In this program, inmates
are court ordered to complete their sentences on weekends or allowed to keep their jobs returning to the Detention Facility
after their workday is complete. In 1997, then Deputy Agos was transferred to Patrol where he worked for approximately 6
years. In 2003, he was assigned to the Investigations Unit and became an Investigator Training Officer. In 2008, Deputy
Agos was promoted to the rank of Sergeant and reassigned to the Detentions Bureau. In March of this year, Sgt. Agos was reassigned
to Internal Affairs where he is in charge of the Concealed Weapons Permit, assists in internal investigations, and takes citizen
complaints. Sgt. Agos’ experience and talents have already proven to be an asset to Internal Affairs.
