Detention/Admin Services Bureau

The Sheriff's Office is one of the most prominent agencies in Colorado law enforcement. The Sheriff is tasked with not only the traditional law enforcement responsibilities such as Patrol and Investigations, but has additional duties as defined by law. These duties involve the detention of prisoners and various services to the county courts, and both responsibilities fall within the Detention/Administrative Services Bureau. The Bureau is commanded by Bureau Chief David Walcher, who oversees the Detentions Services and Administrative Services functions for the Sheriff’s Office.
