Susan Beckman is serving her second term as Commissioner, representing District 1 and serving as Chair. Her current term began
January 2005 and will run through January 2009. As Commissioner, Susan oversees the County Attorney's Office, Communication
Services and the BOCC Administration departments. She represents Arapahoe County on a variety of local and regional issues,
including the Denver Regional Council of Governments Board of Directors, National Association of Counties Human Services and
Education Committee, and Colorado Counties Inc. Susan also is the chair of Metro Area County Commissioners, an organization
representing 2.5 million citizens.
